Sen. Runestad will host town hall for residents to voice concerns following widespread power outages

State Sen. Jim Runestad will host a town hall for residents of the 23rd Senate District to voice their concerns and share experiences as customers of the state’s largest utility companies.

“My hope is that this event will give residents an opportunity to be heard,” said Runestad, R-White Lake. “As lawmakers, we have a duty to listen to residents of our districts and help them to amplify their voices.”

Brief: 

A late February winter storm knocked out power to more than 700,000 homes across Michigan. Ten days later, around 339,000 were still without power across southeast Michigan.
